First time I've seen a Tesla on a tow truck.

Don't worry, he's just carrying that around to jump off old Audis. Need big battery power to get those things boosted

Can’t be a battery issue...
Because there’s always a lot of charge for a tow.

Damnit, Kinja won't let me star you. Off to Kinja mobile I go....

This is how Tesla performs certain warranty work. A lot of stuff can be taken care of by having a tech come to your house/work/school and do the warranty work on your Tesla onsite. But sometimes something breaks that can’t be fixed onsite...so Tesla sends a rollback.
Or...something really bad happened to it. :(

Haha. Seems a little inefficient though

Yeah. My first thought was something they couldn't easily fix or a bricked battery. The closest Tesla store I know of is about an hour away. Don't know if they do repairs there or if it's just a stand alone store. Atlanta and the metro area are flooded with hybrids and electric cars from the now dead rebates/tax breaks so it wouldn't surprise me if there were several tesla repair/maintenance places around closer.

Definitely the perfect car.

I want one real bad. Sat in one at a store in the mall. Not crazy about the giant screen in the dash but I'd adjust. Needs an increase in range and a big drop in price before I can get one.

My original post was sarcasm, relating to the consumer reports ludicrous 103/100 score for the car despite certain flaws. However, I can see why someone would want one. I am just not one of those people.

I figured. I drive a lot for work so the idea of just plugging in when I get home and not constantly filling up gas is very appealing.

IF I was to be an EV it would be purely for commuting and saving money. This means that a would want it to be around 15k. Obviously this isn’t what Tesla is about which is why it’s not for me. I’m also not really into luxury performance cars.

Yeah. I’d gladly take less luxury for a cheaper car. If it was in the $15-20k range and had a range of about 400 miles I'd go out and buy one today

I probably would if I was in the market for another car. I probably spend $200 a month on fuel, which isn’t really big enough for me to consider a car payment and have to drive something boring.

My gas savings alone would make up for the payment so it'd be worth it for me. I'd still come out cash positive that I could buy another car just for fun driving.

You must have one hell of a commute.
